Is there any way i can get the box out of a point shoe?

i want to take the hard part out of a ballet point shoe, is there any way i could do that? i want to make it like a ballet slipper.

and no, i don't want to buy a ballet slipper so please don't say that.

  1. No you can't because

    when they make the ballet shoe

    the tightly fasten it o and use glue

    so it doesn't fall of or break.. etc


  2. yeah u  can, its quite simple.  Its called de-shanking the pointe shoe. (ur actually not making it into a ballet slipper, but a soft block.  

    -pull out the leather part, but save it cause u'll need it.

    -remove the nails that hold the shank to the bottom of the shoe.

    -soften the platform of the shoe, but stomping and banging on it.

    -place the leather insole back into the shoe using some glue to hold it down.

  3. No im afraid you cant. the satin is just a covering. the box is molded out of paper,canvas, and wood. then the satin is glued on and the rest of the shoe is made. its pretty much impossible and they are expensive.

    you could try to ripp the inside open. but idk i dotn think its possible. sorry!
