  1. You can't get rid of it, but there are things you can do which help. I have one in the back of my head. I have to make sure there is enough length back there so it is weighted down. My mom has one in the front and she wears side bangs and her cowlick works with her hairstyle. It gives her bangs a lift - almost like she applied a root lifter product.

I would suggest going to an expert hairstylist in your area and ask their suggestions for a good cut that enables your cowlick to work with your hair - so you're not constantly fighting against it. That's what I would do and what my mom had to do too. I wish you well - I know it's frustrating.

  2. Sorry but there is no way of getting rid of a cowlick for good, but maybe you could try putting some gel in it to smooth it down. Hope i helped!!

  3. Maybe you should consider a hairstyle change like getting a side fringe and moving your partin

    Hope i helped Good luck.

  4. I have a horrendous cowlick on the right side of my forehead that has plagued me since I was toddler.

    I have found two solutions:

    1. Grow your hair out and style your hair with volumizer daily, so that the lift of your cowlick is disguised overall.

    2. I recently decided to take a risk and get bangs (after a very traumatic childhood attempt, lol). I decided on the slightly heavier fringe bangs, which kinda weigh the cowlick down. I also style them with texturizer so they look a little tussled - if the cowlick peeks up a little, you can't really tell. Lastly, I brush them slightly in the direction of my cowlick, so more hair is covering it.

Here's a photo similar to what's worked for me:

Last tip? Get a good stylist to cut your bangs, and really stress your cowlick concerns. This is what I did, and my stylist showed my exactly how to handle my unruly hairdo.

  5. after washing it comb it down with a thin comb when it is wet and blow dry it downwards. then straighten it downwards to keep it there and use hairspray.

  6. No there is no way to 'get rid' of a cowlick, but the way it is cut can minimize it.

Edit:  To be honest i love how that cowlick looks in the front - it helps frame the face and doesnt make your top always looking flat - I love it - (often wished i had 1 in the front like that ... )

  7. Either use hairspray to keep it down or some type of styling gel. Best of luck. :]
