Is there any way of having a bank account in a country where you don't live?

A month back I happened to see a website where they for writing. Now as I reached the threshold amount, I thought of requesting but was shocked to see in terms that the user must have an UK bank account no matter where he/she live. ( There is no other option but transferring money to the bank account. No paypal in the option)Now I can't let go of the money. I don't know anyone in the UK. Is it possible to have an account in an UK bank. Can I have an online account? Please advise me as I don't know much about banking.

Every place in the world takes Western Union, I have an account in several foreign banks Asia is easy to have a bank account. Most will not let you have a checking account but savings account they are typical world round rather easy to apply for just like in the states.

However UK is dangerous to do banking with online unless it is a creditable company. Nigerians use UK as a front for scams. Just be aware it very likely you can be scammed.
