I used silicone as a glue to keep those glass blocks together so now I wanted to take them apart and reuse glass blocks for other things.

  1. You can slip a good strong fishing line, or piano wire, between the blocks to cut the silicone.  Ive done this with siliconed blocks, and mirrors glued on walls.

You might want to wear some gloves, or wrap the line/wire around a 'handle' of some sort, to keep it from cutting into your hand/fingers.

Just 'saw' the line/wire back and forth, between the blocks, it'll cut right thru the silicone.  Then you can use a putty knife, or scraper, to remove the rest of the silicone, once the blocks are apart.

  2. good tip, thewrangler_sw. A wire saw is a pre-made 16" piece of heavy wire with plastic handles used to cut PVC pipe in tight spaces. about $4 in your DIY store plumbing dept.
