  1. What these other people are saying will not stop your foreclosure, only delay it.  And that's only if your loan company is unorganized and has bad representation.

Most big companies are so used to doing this, they have everything ready by the time they get there.

  2. Probably not without a really competent lawyer.  If you have ANY real hope of defending against a foreclosure action, you will not be able to do it without a lawyer.  This is not small claims court.

  3. Your options are few and they are all bad.  Bankruptcy will stop your foreclosure for 6 months.  Then the sheriff will arrive to escort you out. My friend just got a call from the mortgage company asking him how much cash he could deliver today (his auction date is Aug 29).  He told them and they said ok.  I asked if they still wanted the Aug 1st payment in addition.  He hadn't thought to ask so he is calling back.  He was packing and now he's staying.  /

  4. Yes, Pay up

  5. You mean other than paying your mortgage payments on time every month?  You can file a motion to require the foreclosing lender to provide proof of the loan.  Often your mortgage has been sold several times and the foreclosing lender does not have so much as a copy of your mortgage paperwork.  If they can't prove you owe the money the judge will stop the foreclosure.  You will need a very good real estate attorney to pull this off.  A friend stopped his foreclosure in this manner just last week.

  6. Yes, there is. It’s called coming up with the money to get current on your mortgage. It works every single time.
