I have a Chestnut Thoroughbred Gelding who is an ex-race horse. His racing name was "Copper Aero," and he's about 6-7 years old. I'm wondering if anyone could get inside information on him..He does have a tattoo so I could get the number I don't have it at the moment, however. I'm interested more than anything in getting information on who his dam and sire are..

Please let me know if you find information on him, or even if you can recommend a good website...thats free..lol

thanks!

  1. I already checked on http://www.allbreedpedigree.com  nothing came up. You could try checking on the Jockey Club website. http://www.jockeyclub.com There, you should be able to put in his tatoo number and come up with some information.

  2. the jockey club does not release information with you paying a fee. He is registered, have to be to go on the track, so if you do not have the papers that is a serious problem. Whoever has the papers can come back and take your horse away, regardless of bill of sale. This is how I got my stolen Thoroughbred racehorse back, they re-sold him 3 times, but regardless he was registered to me and thus I got him back immediately.

Go cantact the jockey club fast and tell them you are now the owner and you would like to change the owner names on the paper. Called the person who owned him before you and ask for the papers. If they do not have them go to the next person before him. Get the registered owner to sign off that yes, indeed you are the owner and he was legit sold. You may transfer your name unto the papers now

With his papers you can see back to greatgrandparents. But you still must pay for the information of horses pedigrees from the jockey club. Its annoying.
