I recently found out to my shagrin that my daughter is on Facebook, is there any way that I can find out if she is part of any other social network?Is there some command thay I can use to find out without her knowing, she is 11 years old and I need to know what she is up to without her finding out, she doesn't realize how dangerous this internet stuff can be. I'm a ludite so please make it simple

If you can then check the "history" on the internet sites that she may have gone to on the computer. The history check is on the top where you will also find file and edit and view and so on...

Just go to myspace.com, type in her name, and her profile will come up. That is, if she has one and if she used her real name. Usually kids don't use their real names. Sometimes they put their first name, and then their middle as their last. Her age will probably be different, and her account will probably be private. You may have to make your own account to do all this btw. It's not that hard. So the chances of you actually looking at her profile are slim. But good-luck.

She's just trying to fit in. She probably has low self esteem or something. I'd recommend not being to harsh with the punishment. Communicate with her more.
