  1. no the federal motor carrier rules and regulations has a section on mental handicaps,that prohibit any one from getting a cdl if they have a mental handicap...

  6. Federal Regs - 391.41 (b)(9) "Has no mental, nervous, organic, or functional disease or psychiatric disorder likely to interfere with his/her ability to drive a commercial motor vehicle safely;"

    So, as long as your condition does not interfere with your ability to drive safely, and a doc signs off on your medical card, you are good to go.
