Is there any way that a polluting industrail unit be removed from a purely residential area Siliguri?

This polluting unit is in ward no.3 of Siliguri, west bengal and I have been continiously complaining to the West bengal pollution control board repeatedly since 2001. The pollution is in the form of Gas weilding fumes, arc weilding fumes, spray paintings fumes.

IF they are polluting and the govt. knows about it and does not take action then most probably they have bribed the right people so its difficult to stop them.

You need lots of public support as well as support from local news channels.

A broadcasting news of this company with lots of locals protesting and a formal complaint signed by many people sent to govt. officials will do the trick hopefully.

Expect resistence from the owners.

you must always report it to the officials in your place. tell them how that industry is disturbing your homes there. if they see many hazardous things that can happen there then the industry must be closed immediately. officials will remove such industries as quick as possible if they see any thing that did not meet the standards.

u can send the complaint to president, pm & cm along with the officer.

or u can go to media(in some cases they also help such social issues)
