Is there any way that a ski doo 500 with a lowered clutch kit will beat an Artic cat 800 triple?

  1. Yes, for the first 70 to 100 yards. After that the Cat will beat it. The Cat is a heavier sled with more power so it will spin the track more than the 500 will. The 500 will get the jump off the line every time for that reason alone. the Cat will catch it and beat it in the long run every time. That's if the owner of the Cat can keep it from breaking down that long. Sorry, had to get that in there, i'm not a fat of Cats. Had too many problems with them.


  2. No matter what brand of sled or what you do to the sled, a 500 will never beat an 800.

    Kind of like which one will make it to the top of the mountain? The 500s suck power wise.

    But, i am a Ski Doo fan and i can tell you that a Ski Doo 800 WILL beat a Cat.
