  1. Depending on how bad it is. Sometimes you can do a root canal and crown, but that is expensive. You do need antibiotics for the infection in the meantime.

  2. I've been down this road....my dentist did a rooth canal...put me on antibiotics...Everything SEEMED to improve.....One year later the pain was back with a vengence  and had spread. Turned out the infection was never gone. I had the tooth pulled. Pains gone. No regrets.

    Sadly there is NO promises of getting rid of the infection if they do a root canal. My honest sincere advise is to have the tooth extracted. Do not risk the infection spreading elsewhere. Once the tooth is extracted, any remaining infection will simply darin out though the open socket on its on. You will still need antibiotics though.

    Good Luck. Its hard excepting that you mighth need to loose a tooth. But with the pain your in, and the compications you might get into, its your best choice in my opinon.

    Take Care

  3. well that is the only way to do it without having a risk of infections or other work. its honestly the safest way to go.

  4. THERE ARE ONLY 2 TREATMENT CHOICES DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH DAMAGE THERE IS.

    1=ROOT CANAL OR

    2=EXTRACTION
