Is there any way to FIND IF A COMPANY IS LEGITIMATE?

Help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The company i'am looking for is based in the United Kingdom. and the name is CREDITO COOPERATIVO EUROPEO ltd.

A local Better Business Bureau or Chamber of Commerce?  Couldn't find much with a Google Search, but this came up:

Where abouts in the UK? If you could post a geographical location somebody may be able to help you out.

I feel that if you search in google/yahoo then you could get some information about the company. Once you track the website read their policy and verify with other people whom you know in UK.
