  1. There are a few over-the-counter motion-sickness medicines that you could take 1 hour before the trip itself. Try it. Are you going to drive? If not, try taking a nap while on the way.

  2. Take Ginger .....in any form at least an hour before setting off.

It is proven to reduce or eliminate nausea

Whether you eat pure ginger root, crystallized ginger, ginger tablets, ginger tea, or ginger cookies, ginger seems to help calm people's stomachs and reduce their susceptibility to sea-sickness.

You only need to take a very little, but because ginger is natural, you're welcome to take as much more as you wish.

About 1 gram (1/28th of an ounce) of powdered ginger has been shown effective against motion sickness in double-blind studies.

  3. sti shotgun and focus on going straight. have something sour to eat if u get nauseaus. like hard candy of green apples. if not, take a few motion sick pills, like dramomine, before you go.

  4. Motion sickness is caused by a conflict between your inner ear sensing motion but your eyes not seeing motion. Things like reading books, where you're not looking at motion will cause you to get motion sickness. The best thing to do is simply look at the scenery around you as it goes by. This will eliminate the conflict and will keep you well.

  5. it is impossible to be car sick if you are the driver.

this suggests that being in control stops you feeling sick because you know what is about to happen, so if you dont drive ask the driver to tell you everything he/she is going to do

    otherwise try medication

  6. I watched my daughter get car sick while she was DRIVING!!  We took the coast road out of San Francisco and she didn't last 17 miles before she couldn't take it any more!  Before that I thought only passengers got car sick.  There are things out there but I don't know how good they work.  Ask the pharmacist, they usually have good advice.  They know what people are buying and they wouldn't be selling a lot of it if it didn't work, right?
