Is there any way to block someone from texting you?

Some guys keep texting me. I don't text back, but they aren't getting the hint...What do I do?

Go to your carrier and ask to have the number blocked. It usually costs approx $2.00 a month.

You need to contact your cell phone provider. Some times there's a fee, but there's normally some sort of service they can subscribe you to that prevents specific numbers from being able to contact you. In some cases though this only blocks phone calls, not text messages. If you're cell phone provider doesn't have anything like these type of services you can try changing your phone number if it's really that bad or if what they're saying to you is harassing or threatening I would suggest going to the police, they can contact the person and have a stop put to it and your cell phone provider can do more to assist you with a police order.

If you text back saying STOP TEXTING ME and they text back its illegal.

Lest your wireless company know and they should be able to block his number from calling you; similar to spamming. An alternative is to change your phone number. Good Luck !

(update) - Reffering to Cowboys previous answer; i have cingular wireless and i don't believe there is a fee for blocking your number, i have done it multiple times.
