I have a video sender system which is connected by scart leads to the AV equipment. Picture and sound are transmitted, but the signal quality is poor. Is there any equipment available capable of boosting the transmitted signal between sender and receiver?

  1. There are many video distribution amplifiers out there. These will help boost the video signal. They range in price from 50- 200 dollars for home consumers. And the more professional ones are in the 200 to 1000 dollar range. The good ones will have multiple inputs and outputs for different types of connectors and usually have the connector for RF signal  (which stands for radio frequency). Those are the standard antenna and cable type connections that TVs use.

I recommend staying away from the cheaper models cause they usually have a video noise (which shows up as some picture distortions). You essentially get what you pay for when it comes to video distribution amps. Generally you need to spend around 200 dollars for a decent video distribution amp.

  2. The above link is to a video distribution amp. It is not an RF amp. It will not assist you in a better transmission. What ever system you have is regulated by the government of your country no to exceed a specific amount of signal. This law is in place to protect our neighbors from interference in their happy home! On the USA it's called the FCC.

If one wanted to try an experiment, One may attempt using a larger power supply on the transmitter. Lets say it has a 12VDC power supply, You may try a 14 VDC supply. Of course you run the risk of burning up your device.

       Good luck!
