Yes, they do make kit guitars

My hubby has a Mighty Might Kit guitar from years ago.

I don't know who sells them but search online

www.grizzley.com has kits for making guitars and you can get instructions on how to build them there.  Get the least expensive kit and make it before you buy an expensive kit.
