Is there any way to downgrade my psp firmware from 4.0 to 1.5?

I hav been trying to find a way to dowgrade my psp firmware from 4.0 to 1.5, however the only solution seems to be a pandoras battery or something but i don't want to take the risk of damaging my battery or my memory stick, is there any other way?, if not can someone plz tell me the safest method of making this pandora thing?

there isnt another way to downgrade to 1.5 from 4.0. you have to use a pandoras batt with MMS. the safest way would  be to ask around and see if you know somebody with a pandoras battery already, then ask them to do it for you. but if you cant find anybody with a pandoras battery or a psp with custom firmware already installed, then the only way is to hard mod a pandoras battery.
