  1. Okkies sweety. My husband and I actually went through alot of c**p before we could actually legally live togther. But guess what? There's no way you can make the governments work faster. You can bug them you can complain you can sign more paper work for faster delivery and you can waste more money on it too. Nothing works. You just have to be patient. My hubbie (usa) and I (aust) ended up comming to australia and getting an awsome lawyer and paying heaps of money and now we live happily ever after. We couldnt actually get into america coz it was straight after 9/11 that i applied and they shut down your immigration. Also it is easier and faster going to australia then america. We even tried giong to local political figures to get them to make out visa go through in america and it was hopeless. yyou american sit on your hands alot even more than us aussies.

  2. Australian citizens qualify for the "Visa Waiver Program" and do not need a visa to visit the USA.

  3. It is true we have a visa waiver between the US and Australia, however this is only for a 72day stay.

You can get a spousal visa once your married, they may grant it before hand but I doubt it. http://www.immi.gov.au will have more info or contact your local Australian embassy.
