    Perhaps.

    It uses two coils, one which is a referencing coil and the other is for detection. Both have steady currents running through them. The two  are then compared in a comparitor circuit and the offset in current proportionates out to a magnetic flux.

    Magnetic force changes through distance using the inverse square rule/law. So you would have to have a set guideline as to what distance from the magnet you wish to measure the flux.
