Is there any way to find out if your tax rebate check is on its way . This would not be auto deposit.?

I know all the details they gave at first. The way I figured it, it would be on or around May 9.

You will get a letter in the mail about one week before the check is mailed.

Yes.  You will receive a check in the mail.  There is no better proof than that.

You bet!  IRS.has a payment schedule to see when the payment will be sent.  It's goes by the last two-digits of your social.

The IRS also has a "Where's My Rebate?" link to see if the check has been issued.  Just don't check too early,  they won't have any information until about a week or see before the disbursement date.
