Is there any way to find out what part of Africa my ancestors were from?

I am half Italian, half Black..But I have no clue what kind of Black:S I'd love to know so I can embrace my heritage and MYSELF! I know Jamaicans,Ghanans,Zambians...But I have no clue, what I am! How can I find this out?

  2. You cant because African counrtries didnt even exist when slavery happened..Youre basically half Italian half American.
