Is there any way to find out who and where a set of original Virginia licenses plated were issued to in 1934?

i have an old 1934 Chevy car and just recently got a set of 1934 tags to put on the car. i would like to find out who originally own the TAGS and what county they were iddued in.

I would recommend that you send a personal letter to the secretary of state in Virginia.  Introduce yourself, then ask your question.  To answer it will require a lot of research, I'm sure, so be polite, and if you can, get an auto columnist from a local paper involved in this question as a news story.


  2. Try looking for a Ministry of Transport web site and search the plate number.
