  1. Acually there is, but it requires using an oscilliscope, like the one used for automotive use. The scope measures voltage levels and patterns, which identifies each number on a keypad. Have a friend who is an electronics technician?


  2. Pick up the phone and say "Hello, who's calling please" :)

    If it's someone who's hanging up when you answer, call the phone company and complain - they can trace it back and find out (and stop) who/why they are calling.

    As said earlier, they pay extra to have their number unlisted/private so they phone company won't (can't) release that information.
