Growing up my mother had a very long time boyfriend and even fiance for a period of time, but we moved away and he died. We were unable to make the funeral and I wanted to reconnect with his sons who were practically my brothers. Unfortunately they have their mothers last name, which I don't know. How can I find them. I have pictures of them. I was thinking about making a fake myspace and posting their pictures on it and adding everyone in our old city? any other ideas? Because adding everyone in New York would be pretty tedious.

  1. What most of us do is look up the date of death on SSDI, then use the date of death as a base point for searching for an obituary. The obituary should list all the children by name. Then you can go to http://www.intelius.com and find out where they live today and use http://www.whitepages. com to make contact.

  2. I suggest two things:

Call the funeral home, if you know it, and ask for the contact information listed with them

Look at the newspaper in the area for an online obituary, and if it has been too long, call them and see if they have archived it and how much it would be to get a copy.

  3. Is your mother still living? you could always ask her. or if you know when he died and where you could always look up the obituary and find out that way. or take out an ad post the picture see if anyone knows them and have them contact you.

    good luck
