This whole concept of first impressions is hugely overrated; life evolves. People hold onto their first impressions, when a new impression is emerging, because they are conditioned into thinking that we are weak if we change our minds.

Of course in a job situation, first impressions hold, but even then you can try your best to rectify that. Also, others are not perfect, they have flaws too. We all make mistakes, and do something we regret, sometimes not our fault, but as long as we learn. As I said, life evolves.

Sorry, I may have not answered your question. In terms of fixing a bad first impression, maybe apologise, make up for it with good behaviour that which may balance out previous behaviour. Sometimes, say nothing, just do.

You have to just keep caring about being your best self. You can never change what someone else thinks about you so you can do your best & the person may not be as judgemental as you think they are.
