Is there any way to get gum out easily from the lining of a drying machine without stripping the paint?

Apparantly gum was in my pocket and when i put it in the dryer it got stuck to the washing machine, and the only way without stripping the paint of the drying machine is by scratching it off by hand. is there any faster way

  1. you may use gas, or some other solvent, just be sure to let it evaporate before turning the machine on, and try not to breath it.


  2. let the drier cool completely, fill a bag with ice and hold it where the gum is stuck it will harden and come right off.

  3. warm  to almost hot VINEGAR!  It's like magic.  It practically disolves gum.  It makes it soo easy to remove!

  4. Freeze and chip:

    Get a can of keyboard duster from your office supply store, and a plastic putty knife from Home Depot, or your home improvement store.

    Hold the can of keyboard duster upside down, and spray the gum.  An ice-cold spray of propellant will freeze the gum, allowing you to chip it away safely with the plastic putty knife.

    Repeat as needed.  Be careful spraying in confined quarters such as the inside of a dryer.  Without fresh air, the fumes might make you dizzy.
