  1. You need to find a therapist that takes insurance. Or you could try a school. They offer excellent student massage for much cheaper. It cost twenty dollars for fifty minutes at my school (healing mountain massage school in Utah) Good luck!

  2. Yes, If you have back problems you can have you Dr. order PT for you. The order should state "Massage". You can also have heat or ice applied. Been there done that MANY times. PT is my best answer. Good luck and I feel for you.

  3. it depends on your insurance policy -- not all of them have massage listed as a covered benefit.

you need to call your insurance co & ask them what types of benefits you have- you would need a doctor (chiropractor, medical doctor) to prescribe it in most cases. you may have a dollar amount limit that is covered, or a number of visits

you can also check at a local massage school. they offer massages with students who are almost

ready to graduate for a greatly discounted price. you can probably get a 60min massage for $30-40 there.

  4. Usually this can be done by going to a chiropractor under your insurance.  If the chiropractor has a massage therapist the massage many times is covered.
