Is there any way to get my pics back off my laptop?

my computer wouldnt let me log in, so after an hour on the phone with dell and doin a bunch of stuff they instructed me to it finally works again. so i noticed i lost all my shortcuts, no problem, thats easy to fix. but then i found that ALL of my pictures are gone too! is there any possible way to retrieve them? could they still be in here somewhere? thanks in advance.

The pics are still there, but in a different place. You might need to search for jpeg files, or whatever you saved them as.

go to the start menu then click search. type in .jpeg or any name of a saved picture you might remember like " mepickingmynose.jpeg" where ever that picture got saved to will most likely be where your other pictures are
