Is there any way to induce ovulation?

I can only have s*x the week after my period this month. Is there any way I can make myself ovulate in this week? I've heard that taking just one birth control pill then stopping can induce ovulation, or taking large amount of B vitamins?

Is there anything I can do?

  1. Chinese Infertility Teas

  2. No, you can not make yourself ovulate and nothing you take or do will help. Ovulation is a natural process that happens with all women. Unless a doctor gives you a pill which would then chemically induce ovulation. There is nothing you can do on your own.

  3. No unfortunately there is nothing you can do to trigger ovulation. You could try to bring your period on earlier, which would then mean you were further along in your cycle when you BD. Clary Sage aromatherapy can do that, but it's only going to being it forward a day or so and you MUST put the bottle safely away in a ziploc if you're pregnant because it can cause miscarriage. Any other method is not going to work; even if you had shots it would not bring it forward and things like Clomid actually delay ovulation. Taking the pill is more likely to stop you from ovulating at all, which is counter-intuitive.

  4. Unfortunately, no - even if you had an hcg trigger shot (available by prescription), the egg being released would not be mature and would not lead to a successful pregnancy.  The follicle needs time to grow before releasing a mature egg through ovulation.

Don't try any home remedies that won't work and will potentially s***w up your next cycle!

I would take it easy this month - have s*x for the fun of it and go from there.  Sometimes a little break from the ttc stress will but you in a better place for next cycle.

    Good luck and baby dust!
