Question:

Is there any way to keep smoothies "smooth" if there's leftovers?

Sometimes I don't have time in the morning to finish my batch of smoothies. I usually drink two between 6 and 9, but when I have to leave for work at 9, I don't know what to do with the rest that I would like to drink later. I've tried freezing, and then later re-blending in the blender, but I always have to add more ice because of the thawing. Then it's too bland. So then I have to add more fruit and stuff- and before you know it, I have another big batch. Same thing with the refridgerator- melted, added more ice, had to add more ingriedients, got a payload of smoothies. I'm not quite sure you can actually save your smoothies, but if anyone out there knows how, please let me in on it!!

  1. Mix canoala cooking oil in them, before you put them in the fridge.

  2. I pour leftovers into ice cube trays and add a frozen cube or two to defrosted leftovers. That prevents the dilution that happens with regular ice when I re-blend them.
