Is there any way to keep up a trombone embouchure for over an hour?

Practice. The more you practice the stronger your embouchure will become and the better you will play (as long as you're practicing correctly that is).

here's what my private instructor from college gave all the tbone students, it gave us chops of steel!

1. lip slurs in 3rds on the bone

2. lip slurs (diatonic scale passages) on just the mouthpiece

3. repeat the lip slurs with just lips (no mouthpiece, no horn)

4. as you advance-add chromatic tuning excercises to the lips only/mouthpiece only sequence---ex;  f-e-f-eb-f-d-f-db-f-c-f-b-f- Bb (in whole notes, moderately slow tempo).

we had to make it through 5-7 hours of ensemble playing some days + practicing for at least 2 hours on top of that.
