Question:

Is there any way to lock a lazy susan?

we cant seem to find a way to keep baby out of it. there are different kinds and this one has a 2 part door that opens, hinged in the middle, and then it spins, the only locks i see are for the other kind- any ideas?

  1. could you duct tape the sides closed--i'm not sure of the baby's age--too old to get the tape off??  Otherwise, What about putting something in front of the door--like a chair or something the baby can't move.  This is definitely a toughie--I hope you can find something.


  2. i dont know if there is a lock for those but i would put something like a chair or something big to keep the baby away from there , specially if you have stuff he shouldnt be getting, try a local door maker shop to see if they have a lock

  3. had the same trouble. I watched my child and figured out which way she opened it. Then I locked that direction. I could still open it up from the other direction. But she stopped messing with it when it stopped working and just figured it out about a year ago, she's now 5. Unfortunately now my younger one knows how to do it.  But they are both now old enough not to mess quite so much so I removed it. But it might get you through until yours are old enough also.

  4. only put child friendly toys in the cabinet.  the child is emulating you as you work in the kitchen.  put plastic kitchen items and empty food containers in the cabinet to encourage help!!
