Question:

Is there any way to make temporary dreadlocks?

I'd like to do my hair in some sort of dreadlocks, if not exactly like it, that won't damage my hair and will wash out. Is there a way I can do that, perhaps with vaseline, or will that damage my hair as well?

  1. The best way to start experimenting with dreads is to buy clip in fake ones from gothic/alternative shops. They look authentic and are reversible by the fact you only wear them when you want to.

  2. Ewww...dreadlocks of any sort, why would you want them?

  3. i used to do this with my hair all the time! fake dreads are awesome, especially as they arent too hard to do, and dont require too much care, and can be washed out quite easily too :)

first, separate your hair into strands (however thick you want your dreads) and then twist them, whilst rubbing hair wax on it...once you have a few twisted, waxy strands, clip them together at the end, or tie them together with a hair elastic to stop them from unraveling...do your entire head like this, and then keep it in overnight...wake up the next day, and you have dreads, until you wash them out :)

    hope this helps :)

  4. Try getting clip in fake ones. Then you may get a feel of how you look like with dreads.

P.S. My 85 year old half blind grandma could tell they arent real.
