  1. Sorry but there is no other way than to sew it. Vinyl can sometimes be filled and melted together.  

    Wish I had a solution , a crack in the leather typically means it has dried , this condition does not have good results when sewn either. The thread used on dry leather will eventually pull or tear through the leather because it is dry and weak.

    Depending on where it is you could consider a patch to completely cover the area. If it is a garment , I would say it probably has seen better days. If it is a car seat on a classic car, there are companies that can build a new seat with new leather, or find new skins to recover the old.
