I tried to have it lifted and the judge said he had to go to court first because someone else called it in. I have pursued the alternatives class as well. I was told there was a way to modify it, but the lady that I was directed to is on vacation.

  1. i don't quite get your question... will you explain better please

  2. .   Lift it on the court date.  Go and appear before the judge and explain.  Anything you do today will still have to reviewed and approved by the same judge. Get it all done at once.

  3. You can modify an order of protection but you cannot dismiss one, any modification would have to be approved by the judge when the person goes to court so either way your friend is going to stand before the judge, you would do well to go to the hearing and stand for your Friend and ask that the order be dismissed.~

  4. No contact orders are for personal protection, and are not dismissed easily.

If the court advocate is not going to help you, then you will have to wait until the other person is back from vacation.
