  1. I'll bet you 10 points, if you went to the manufacturer's web site, you could probably find out for sure.

  2. if it had one, it's very possible to fix

if it never had one, and you're set on electric ignition, sell it and buy one that has it.....

there is in no way a practicality behind adding a starter ot a bike that didn't have one to begin with.... even if you could, it would cost alot and require ALOT of modification

  3. 2005 TRX450R 4 strokes compression ratio is 10.5:1 not as high as 2006 and later model, but still is very high compression.

Just like CR500 2 strokes you would start it the same manner, use your kick start to bring the piston up until you feel the engine resists (compressed) then kick start it. It should start right up after a few tries but not 10 minutes.

You don't need an electric start.

    Hope that helps

  4. Dont let these idiots fool you.

You can add an electric start to your 450r, its a simple innexpensive mod that attaches to your left hand side down by your shifter.

I personally don't know what its called but if you do have a subscription to dirtwheels magazine check in the back of the book at the ads section they usually have something in there.

If not check these websites and their forums it will help out a lot!!
