Is there any way to restore a vhs tape that i taped over by accident?

YOU are fine.  The tape is screwed.

It is impossible to recover the data. When a tape goes through a record process, the first thing it does is go over an erase head with re-scrambles the magnetic particles so they can be rearranged during the recording process.

Once its erased and taped over, it's gone..you, as you put it, are screwed.
