building their nests beneath my deck? They seem much worse than normal, I find a new nest every day it seems, and I am almost afraid to go some places for them. I will be so glad when fall and a couple hard frosts get here.

You won't believe how helpful this site is.

  2. I would call someone like terminex or any other exterminator...They would have the answer for you...Our neighbor across the street had a huge hornets nest in their tree...They went in at night when they weren't active and sprayed the snot out of the thing...the next night he did it again just in case there were any left...He took down the nest and made $150.00 on it from a collector...

  3. Ohh boy can I help you! I have a huge deck and the wasps and hornets just love making a home. Here's the tricks of the trade, I've been wasp free for two years now.

Every spring (first sign of 70+ deg days) I :

    1) Buy 20 of those toilet pucks that you hang in the cammode and hang them all over under the deck.

    2) Make myself some 'fake' nests, using brown paper lunch sacks, coated with oil and stuffed with plastic grocery bags for 'poof'. Tie them off and hang them with the toilet pucks, tie side down.

Just string the wire 'puck' hanger through the top of the paper sacks and bend and loop the end between the deck slats.

Seems the wasps and hornets hate the smell of the pucks and the fake nests tell them 'somebody already lives here'. It works.
