Is there any way to systematically search for companies to request services from, or to offer your services?

Google searches are limited and so are the yellow pages. Where could one find an exhaustive catalog of businesses in an area?

It always ends up with you going up and down every street in town and talking to every business owner.  THey will be interested in what you are offering.  If your price is right, they will hire you.  I have done this hundreds of times.  I opened my own business in 2001.  Now people come to me with their ideas and offers. /
