Is there any way to trace phonecalls online?

I keep getting phonecalls from someone who hangs up quickly. Is there any way I can trace the number online?

If you are able to retrieve the number off of your caller ID, then you can either type in the number in Yahoo! or use the following sites:

http://800notes.com/Area-Code.aspx/1-888

http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Calls.aspx/1

I prefer the 'whocallsme.com' one.

If there is no caller ID, then try *69 and see if you get connected and they answer and try to confirm the phone number.

if you have a phone number you can reverse directory it.

if this is still going on, call the telco and make a "harassing call" report.

the will ask you to keep a log of times and dates. They can then cross to the call records and they will proceed from there.
