I Just bought a car. I live in Toronto however the car I purchased is in London. I am new to manual and only have my G2. Therefore I don't want to drive on the highway. Please don't answer by saying bring someone to drive it back. I would just like to know if there is anyway to travel from London, ON to Toronto, ON without taking any highways.

  1. Even if you're not taking highways, you're still taking highways--I mean that just because you avoid the 401 or the 403 doesn't mean you're not going to be on some busy roads...you can get around most of the BIG highways, but it's really not that bad if you just travel during non-peak times (aka...avoid rush hour). Just google.ca/map it and figure out a route--although I will say it's pretty d**n hard avoiding all the highways...JUST DO IT! Be confident!

  4. There is alway the old Hwy 2 which is now mostly country roads through Woodstock, Brantford and then Hamilton and along Lakeshore/Blvd (Oakville, Burlington and Port Credit) to Toronto, I am in my 50's and remember when we were younger and the Q.E.W and Gardener were not there and taking the long route into the city, or lse it could mean a trip on VIA rail or the Greyhound bus, day passes in Toronto for the T.T.C are $9.00

  5. its possible, go to google.com clikc on maps, and put the 2 desitinations in, hit search then on the side there is a thing you can check off that says aviod highways.

it will take a long time.  you say ONLY have g2, you do know you can drive ont eh highway with that right?
