  1. I would honestly try steel wool, But be careful, as it will scratch the metal. Just use a buffer then to shine and smooth it up.


  2. Ummm....no.  And I wouldn't even want to try.  They're too bulky and torquey, even if you rigged up some kind of wire brush or whatever.  

    Chemical stripper works really well, or you can get a 4-1/2" angle grinder with a wire brush on it.  If it's a steel frame, get a "cable twist" brush, otherwise use an open wire wheel/cup (they're a little less aggressive, better for aluminum).  

    And then there are the good old fashioned methods of a steel scraper and/or sandpaper.  Elbow grease, man, elbow grease.   :o)

  3. Paint stripper, then wet sandpaper and elbow grease.

  4. To answer your question, NO.

    Paint stripper, soft wire wheel on a disc grinder or a drill, or medium fine grit emery paper.


  5. That sounds dangerous...

    but if your into death defying bike painting maybe try a flamethrower or a grenade
