Is there any way you can block e-mail addresses altogether from getting even to your Junk mailbox?

Question

I keep getting these really trashy e-mails and they are extremely irritating as I have never signed up in my life to receive any such thing. How did they manage to get my e-mail address, and how can I stop them mailing me? There is no option to unsubscribe.

I also notice that in the actual "to" section, there is an e-mail address similar to mine - but it is not actually my e-mail address. Should they even be coming to my mailbox?

install the free version of IncrediMail it allows you to bounce the messages back at the sender along with a message telling them that your email does not exist where as in real life it  does, they then dont waste time sending emails to that address because apparently it is dead

Don't respond to them.  All it does is flag your email address as alive and well.  You may be able to configure your junk mail filter to throw junk mail away immediately.  Check that out.

Realize, though, that by doing that you may occasionally miss something that's not really junk mail.

You can't stop it

When you signed up for something, you accept the terms and conditions, the people sell your email address to the companies and then they send you a lot of c**p.

Even the personal bank accounts, ebay now sells them.

Depends on your email provider. Most email providers have a manual filtering system. However there is no way to stop spam. May i reccommend using Gmail though. Every spam message i have recieved has been filtered into a spam folder.

blocked and safe senders

blocked senders

write the complete email address in the blank space

'add'

and you won't receive more mail from those addresses
