Is there any way you can get an old tracking number??

so complicating.. i sent a piece of jewelry back through the mail for a refund, and i tracked it untill it was shiped to its destination, it takes 5-7 days for the refund but the place said they need the tracking number because they never recieved the ring, i moved during that time so i cant go back to the same post office and i cant find anything on usps.com that can help me so is there any way that i can get that old tracking number???

I would call USPS and ask for help.  They have a central phone number for tracking packages: 1-800-222-1811 so you don't need to contact the original post office location.  Maybe they can look it up for you.  A long time ago I had a similar situation (but in my case I knew the tracking number) and I was able to ask for the status to be de-archived via their website.  This tells me that they hang on to even old tracking numbers.

    I know this doesn't help your current situation, but my other (albeit unsolicited) tip is to not use USPS- haha.  I swear they lose 25% of everything I ship (and somehow, they succeed in only losing the most important things).  I always try to stick with UPS and FedEx.
