  1. Yes... you need to change the way you do your search.  I buy gems and silver components for making jewelry, so I'm happy to check out eBay's offerings.  Out of pages and pages, I can't say I've ever seen anything close to 50% of the search result being eBay.  Maybe 5%, but I think even that's a stretch.

C'mon people... 2 of you obviously didn't read the question.  You're suggesting ways to get eBay in the search when the asker wants to STOP having eBay come up in the search.

  2. just add -ebay after whatever your searching for.

  3. In google type

    -site:www.ebay.com

you might need to include foreign versions too

    -site:www.ebay.com -site:www.ebay.co.uk -site:www.ebay.co.ei

    etc

  4. yes  there is   when you enter the search key word   I.e  "ipod"

simply place a "-" mark before the word you do not want to appear in the search. see example below.

    ipod -ebay.com

then anything pertaining to ebay.com will be dropped from the search

  5. be more specific in your search

  6. Janet by typing "-" before the word you DON'T want to search for, it excludes that word.

eg, in google, if you're looking for jewellery the asker could type

    jewellery, silver, gold, -ebay
