like something where you can try different arrangements

- like you'd give the measurements of the room - then the measurements of furniture - and move them around.

anyone come across anything like this ? seems like an obvious thing

  1. yes, Ikea's site has a free downloadable program, you can include windows, walls and door measurement in :)

  2. HGTV has a room planner:  http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/pac_ctnt_wide/t...

And Armstrong has a Design My Room program: http://www.armstrong.com/resam/na/home/e...

An easy way to do it yourself is to use pieces of cardboard or paper cut to the dimensions of your furniture, like if your couch is 6 feet long by 3 feet deep, you cut a 6x3 foot piece of cardboard or paper (taping pieces together if you don't have cardboard or paper big enough) and use that to test out new areas for your couch.  You can move those around the room to make sure they'll fit where you want them to go.

  3. B&Q has a site also

  4. check out hgtv.com also!

  5. yeah microsoft visio...we used it in our tech class and we made floor plans where we could move and try different arrangements.

just go to <>http://www.runaware.com/microsoft/en-us/... and it should give you an option to try it on line...hope this helps

    ;)
