Particularly for fruits and vegetables, not so much for crops.

Preferably in Central Europe...

Thanks!

  1. penn island .com

  2. I do not know any off the top of my head but I would use a search engine like google or yahoo Good Luck!

  3. i don't think that any would be available as there are so many varieties and the harvest dates could not be for told with any accuracy. Rainfall, days of good sun, ground and air temperature, all those climactic variables and then all the individual variables like amount of additional irrigation, type and quality of fertilizer, and even cropping methods will all play their role in when a plant provides a mature product. If you were in the industry (purchase and sales of agricultural products) you would know to prepare for apples at the end of August and beginning of September so you will have proper storage and boxing available. You would know that the first tomatoes available in the south of Italy and Spain would be followed by more northern availability as harvests creep up from south to north. One would know that in a given year if rains and clouds were more numerous for that season that it was expected that harvests were running late with full fruits but more post harvest fungi problems due to moisture being continuous, so grade would be affected and cost. To be in the industry one develops a sense of what to expect and may publish that info in trade journals. The "Farmers Almanac" in the US will tell you best times to plant but can not tell you when to expect a harvest. You would be better served to get a list of the plant varieties you follow, then list length of time to maturity (fruit flowering dates plus time to fruit maturity given a certain number of sunny days), and adjust those times to how you perceive weather trends are. Look at harvest information in the main regions for a specific crop, look at the previous years weather trends, compare to what you see this year and determine the date (see if you are right). You may find a regional publication on specific crops if you look at the crop and area. In "search" you would type the words "apple harvest France" or "grape harvest Austria" then look threw the links available. Adding a year date to that will help to get more specific.
