Is there any where to get help with the cost of braces for children without insurance?

I'm a widow with two youn daughters. My daughters have (TN Care - form of a government insurance). It does not cover braces.

I think the 13 year old only needs braces on the top. But the 9 year old's teeth are crowded and needs the two phase braces and it looks like she needs them top and bottom.

Okay, any information is helpful.

  1. I would encourage you to visit this site: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago now and they have saved me thousands. My braces only costs me $2000, then worked out a payment plan with the orthodontist. From cleanings, xrays, exams...etc. All services are included in this very affordable plan. They even had my benefits active in 2 hours and was able to use it the very same day. Hope this helps

  2. I think maybe the only luck you will have is finding an orthodontist that will let you make payments on treatment.

Make sure your children are 100% with you on taking care of their teeth with braces- otherwise you will have spent all of that money for nothing.

My son is 11 and his dentist told me he needs braces- I live in Georgia with Peach Care- (same as TennCare).

Until my son is responsible enough to keep his teeth brushed on his own- I am not even considering the braces.

He'd get his braces off in 2 years and have a head full of cavities!
