  1. It differs from country to country. Contact the local Education bureau. Perhaps, you can take some time off from work and be the teacher until someone permanent comes along.

  2. I would first contact the school Governors and discuss it with them.

Contact numbers can be in the prospect, or the school secretary could help you.

I agree that he needs stability, but i am sure this is not down to the school being neglectful, just difficult times  in teaching.  Hope it soon get sorted out.

you are right to voice your opinion to the school.

  3. Get in touch with the LEA (local education authority), they will be able to give you advise!

  4. I am a school governor and I would be concerned if this was happening in my school especially in reception or year 1.  I would seek out a governor, the details are supposed to be posted in school, and then with that governor speak directly to the head.  She will be able to tell you exactly what is going on and when it will be sorted out.  It sounds to me like the head is having some staffing difficulties which the governors will be asking the question why?  As a Governor we are always told if its important to the parent, important enough to speak to a Governor, its important enough for the head.  Good luck hope you get it sorted soon.

  5. I'm sorry but let's have a little perspective, yes the situation is not ideal but it is very short term- SIX days! And why oh why is it always teachers picking on kids until they're disruptive at home, then suddenly its the teachers fault. Youre his parent, accept a little responsibility for his behaviour yourself!
