Is there anybody can give me recipe of ''sopas'' and ''Lomi'' (filipino food)?

  1. lomi- its not a filipino food but of chinese origin

    1/4 kg thick lomi noddles or "mike" noodles

    garlic

    onion

    sliced pork liver

    sliced pork meat

    meat balls

    kikiam

    cassava flour(2 tbsp mixed with tbsp water)

    egg white from 1 pc egg

    pork cracklings

    saute garlic and onion in oil

    mix in the pork meat and pork liver

    add about 4 cups of pork or chicken stock

    add in the noodles and allow to boil

    if the noodles are already tender, mix in the cassava flour solution, allow to thicken

    blend in the egg white and stir

    remove from the flame and top with the cooked meatballs, kikiam, egg yolk and pork cracklings.

    the recipe does not include salt because the taste will be controlled by the sauce the way we eat it in batangas

    sauce

    soy sauce

    philippine lime

    chili

    ground pepper

    mix it all together and spoon it into your noodles accordingly while eating the noodles.

    the sopas i know is elbow macaroni with milk

    1/2 kg elbow macaroni

    garlic

    onion

    mixed vegetables(carrots, frozen peas, corn kernels)

    1/2 kg boiled chicken meat

    chicken stock

    salt, pepper

    evaporated milk

    saute garlic and onion in oil, add a little butter

    mix in the chicken meat

    then add the pasta

    mix the chicken stock to twice the level of the pasta and meat

    allow to boil until the pasta is already cooked

    add the vegetables

    season with salt and pepper

    remove from heat and blend in the evaporated milk.


  2. Recipe for LOMI

    Ingredients

    Ingredients:

    * 1/2 kilo of white and round miki (NOODLES)

    Garnishing:

    * squid adobo (pusit)

    * flaked fish meat (tinapa)

    * pork sitsaron, coarsely pounded

    * powdered pork sitsaron

    * fried minced garlic

    * cooked shrimps, shelled

    * hard boiled eggs, sliced

    * chopped springs onions

    Palabok:

    * 1/4 kilo pork, cut into small cubes\

    * 1/4 kilo chicken giblets & liver

    * 2-3 chicken wings, cut into small pieces

    * 1/4 kilo fresh shrimps, shelled

    * 2 large onions, quartered

    * 3 cloves garlic crushed

    * 1 pc. medium sized carrots, round thin slices

    * 1/4 kilo cabbage, chopped 1 1/2" squares

    * 1/4 kilo cauliflower, break into flowerettes

    * 2-3 stalks leeks, chopped 2" long

    * 1/4 kilo lomi noodles (flat)

    * 1/2 cup pork (sliced into strips)

    * 1/2 cup shrimps, shelled

    * 1/4 cup chopped ham

    * 1 large onion, chopped

    * 3-4 cloves garlic, crushed

    * 1 cup shredded cabbage

    * 1 tbsp. chopped carrots

    * 6-7 cups chicken or meat broth

    * 2 tbsp. cooking oil

    * 1 tbsp. cornstarch.dissolved in water

    * 2 raw eggs

    * 2 tbsp. patis

    * salt to taste

    * 1 tsp. vetsin

    Instructions

    Saute garlic and onion. When brown add pork, shrimps, and ham. Add patis; stir for 2 minutes. Add 1/2 cup water, cover and simmer until water is almost dry. Add broth. Cover and let boil for 10 minutes.

    Drop in noodles, carrots, and shredded cabbage. Let boil for 3 minutes and thicken with dissolved cornstarch. Put off the heat.

    Beat eggs and stir in. Do not boil. Serve at once.

    SOPAS NA KAMATIS

    SOPAS NA KAMATIS

    Mga Sangkap:

    3 tasang kabuti na ginayat

    10 tasang song tong (sopas de china)

    3 itlog

    1 kutsaritang salsa china

    ¾ tasang karneng manok na ginayat

    ½ kutsarang harina

    1 kutsarang aceite de mani

    Paraan;

    Ilaga ang kabuti ng may kalahating oras at alisan ng tubig. Lagyan ng song tong at pakuluin uli ng 15 minuto pa. ilagay ang ginayat na manok at ang binating itlog. hanguin kung nailagay na ang arina. Timplahan ng ilang patak na sesanum.

    Ingredients:

    2 tbsp. cooking oil

    1 tsp. grated ginger

    1/4 cup chopped onions

    1/2 cup squid, ink sac and skin removed, sliced into 1/2 inch thick rings

    1/2 cup small shrimps

    1/4 cup diced potatoes

    1/4 cup diced red bell pepper

    4 cups water

    1 MAGGI Chicken Broth Cube

    1/2 cup shell pasta

    1 cup CARNATION Evap

    1 cup sili leaves

    1/4 tsp. salt or to taste  

    Instructions:

    1. Heat oil, sauté ginger and onion until limp. Stir-in squid, cook for 2 minutes then add shrimp and cook until it turns orangein color. Transfer seafood mixture into a bowl. Set aside.

    2. In the same pan, sauté potatoes and bell pepper until half cooked.

    3. Pour in water and bring to a boil. Add MAGGI Chicken Broth Cube and the shell pasta. Cook for 5 minutes.

    4. Add back the seafood mixture then pour in CARNATION Evap. Simmer for another minute.

    5. Add sili leaves. Season to taste. Serve while hot

  4. Yes, sopas and lomi are not Filipino food. I searched on the Internet and found this Filipino recipe site: http://www.filipinofoodrecipes.net

    Sopas and lomi are not listed -maybe because they are not Filipino... but there are many other recipes that are Filipino.
